One thing you need to know.....there is no "quick fix" when it comes to growing your Instagram. Instagram actually works pretty hard as a company to prevent people from paying for follows or using bots for likes and comments...hence the dreaded algorithm that I'm SURE you've heard about!! In fact if you are doing that, it will only hurt you. Now if I had to narrow it all down to what works... it would be time, consistency and genuinely engaging are the most important things when it comes to growing your following.
Ok, I lied....There is one more thing I need you to know about Instagram.
Those followers you are losing every day? Yes, you are losing followers daily. It happens!
They are NOT REAL followers.
Now, not all of them are fake or bots and some may just be accounts that you actually love but here's the thing...
People STILL use the Follow-Unfollow method to grow their accounts. In my research for this course I even discovered (because I started really paying attention to what works for people) that some of the accounts that I love and have followed for YEARS do it. I even got SO excited because one of them started to follow ME!! Only to be disappointed a few weeks later to learn that she unfollowed me!! Please, do not use this method! It’s just spammy!
You are losing and going to lose the people that followed you yesterday. Keep in mind that they were never interested in you in the first place. When I had 5k followers I lost On average 30 followers per day and since I crossed over 10K that number hovers between 30 and 50...I just expect that I will lose around that number so it doesn't phase me anymore, they don't count. And it has NO reflection on how well I am doing.
Please don't think of the followers you "lose" everyday as an actual loss.
You didn't do anything wrong.
You don't suck.
You just need to find the people that will follow you and engage with you.
True Followers.
